Makeup Organization Round 3!

Hello loves! So this is the third post I'm doing on my method of organizing all my junk. I finally got my hands on some of those white plastic bins from Walmart!!! They come in packs of 2-3 depending on the size, and they're only like $1.52. SWEET!

Updating my makeup storage!

Hello loves! Just wanted to share some storage revamping I've been doing lately. I dropped by Target on Monday and ended up buying a few desk organizers that I thought would also perfectly organize makeup (since most of you know how I love multi-purposing :P)! I'm still undecided with how I want to re-organize everything, but these are my options so far.

A pen holder that can hold brushes:
I'm still a little iffy about if I want to use this one or not. But most of you know how I love lime green, so of course I had to pick it up :P

For some reason I thought my brush handles were longer :/

A desk organizer that can hold.... everything!
This fits perfectly into my drawers and organizers all my crap perfectly as well. Definitely a good buy. If they had more, I would have bought more :P

I also picked up this deskscape:
I liked it because of the two taller sections that I thought would be good for holding brushes. But again, only one section (the one that all the brushes are in :P) is a good height for holding brushes. The middle section is a little too tall. So I was thinking of putting some stuff in the bottom to make it higher. I also like all the different sizes of tiny compartments; perfect for holding lippies, concealer, eye primer, etc.



Lastly, this medium organizer:
I like how it has two sides to hold brushes and various sizes of compartments in the middle to hold my most-used lippies and blushes.


Will update again when I finally decide how I want to set everything up.

Surprise mail love from Steph! ♥ & Haul: Organizers & Blush

Hello loves! I hope everyone's weekend is going great : ) I volunteered at our local Public Library's book sale again today, so I got to pick up 4 brand new hardcover books for less than the "normal" price of 1! :D Hopefully they'll all be good reads.

When I got home, I was surprised with a package in the mail from the lovely and talented Steph of Julu Jewelry and Beauty & Gardens! A belated birthday gift, omg! ^__^ She sent me soo many goodies, of course I have already eaten the kit kat... strawberry & sakura green tea! Oishiiii! Also, Rilakkuma pretzels sticks, and Wet N Wild eyeshadow!! I am esepcially excited to try the e/s after reading Nee's review @ KITTYLOVESMAKEUP!

AAAAND...
Earrings!!! Lime green flower studs! ♥ If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you'll know that lime green is my FAV color, along with pink : )

I was actually having sort of a hard week, so this really made my day today : )

I also wanted to share some purchases I made from Long's! I bought some more Epielle cosmetic wipes and Epielle nose strips, but I didn't take pictures of them. I did not try the nose strips yet, so I let the Mister be the guinea pig. Either I didn't put it on good enough (well, I did follow all the directions :P), or he has really clean pores! Lol! I'm kinda scared to try them on me, probably lots of stuff is going to come out of mine :P

I also bought these nifty little organizer bins for $1.69 each! Of course, because of the color too : ) I got the idea after reading Tina Marie's post on how she organizes her makeup. Before, all my stuff was just shoved in the drawers and very messy. But now I consolidated my lippies & blushes/bronzers from everything else! I'm definitely gonna be searching for more of these little guys in different sizes so I can better organize the rest of my makeup.

So far, I've got these 2 drawers looking a lot better than they were before : )

The containers fit perfectly in the drawers so I'm really pleased with them ♥

Another thing I purchased was Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin. Again, I was tempted to try after reading one of Nee's reviews! I originally wanted Pink Frosting but when I looked at the color, I was kind of afraid it would be too pink for me. But I also was wary to get Peach Satin because Nee said it was super shimmery. But I decided to try that one out first. I still want to eventually own Pink Frosting and Rose Petal as well though :P

In the pictures, it shows up a lot more peachy than it really is. When I look at it IRL, it doesn't look peachy at all! It just looks baby pink and hella shimmery! On my arm, it shows up shimmery baby pink too; ever so slightly peach. Funny thing is though, when I wipe my fingers off on a tissue, it looks really peachy on the tissue :P

This blush is super sheer once blended, and takes several layers for a real hint of color to show up. However, I like this kind of blush. The texture is really soft and of course, mousse-y :P I honestly thought it would be waaay too shimmery as well, but it actually gives my cheeks a nice, subtle pink luminous glow after a few layers.

New makeup organizer, Love from Meme

I found the greatest thing EVER at Walmart today:

It makes an excellent makeup organizer for me!!! There's 4 compartments on either side that's for pens, but is perfect for brushes!!! I can even fit liners, scissors, my BB creams, Neutrogena cream, sunscreen, and foundation in those 4 compartments. Yeah ew, my brushes are dirty XD

There's 3 more smaller sized compartments between the 2 ones on the either end. Perfect for fitting my NYX jar concealer, Rohto drops, BB cream sample, makeup wedge, and other little knicknacks (the uppermost compartment).

Then there is a little drawer in the middle that is the perfect size for lippies!!!
Love love love. I am so glad that I found this ♥

I got love package from the beautiful and talented Meme yesterday! We're swapping handmade items. She makes super pretty handmade silk flower accessories! I'm making her a tare panda charm and I loveeed her sakura hair pin! She was soooo generous to include two, AND a headband plus a sweet little note & candy (: Thank you so much girl!!

Definitely do check out Meme's lovely creations, she folds and arranges these gorgeous silk flowers by hand ♥

Re-organization

I feel so productive lol. Majorly cleaned and re-organized my whole room, including my makeup station and closet (: So here's what it looks like now~ got a little organizer drawer to hold more of my things so they're not all over the place :D

Half my closet; added a rolling organizer drawer

The other half of my closet; threw in my hoodies & jeans, shoes, and finally found a use for my penguin mat xD

Also, got this idea from Mai which has been floating around the blogosphere...
