EOTD/FOTD feat. Wet N Wild Color Icon Palette in "Vanity"

Hello loves! So today I decided to do a look with the Wet N Wild Color Icon palette in "Vanity," as promised : )

Here's the swatches again, for anyone who missed it!
Again, the pigmentation is fabulous and the shadows are buttery smooth. The three shades on the left of the palette are matte and the three on the right are shimmer.

So here's the look I came up with. Told ya it was similar to the Maybelline EyeStudio quad in "Give Me Gold"!

Lenses are Geo Ash Wings

I wanted to make use of all the shades, but of course you don't have to! This palette is very versatile. You could use only the matte shades or only the shimmer shades and create a nice look. Or you can combine even just one matte and one shimmer shade and still create a great look! It's an awesome palette to have because of the variety and how many uses it has. I would highly recommend it, especially because it's reasonably priced. If you're looking for a dupe of Maybelline EyeStudio "Give Me Gold," I think this is a good bet... even better, actually, because you get more bang for your buck : )

I was inspired by Jess of Oh...pretty! to Picnik my photos :D

Easy hamburger stroganoff + EOTD

Okay, so FOTDs and recipes have pretty much won my poll :P So here's something yummy I recently made~ it's super delicious and really easy to make

EASY HAMBURGER STROGANOFF

What you need:

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 5 fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • As much egg noodles as you want (follow pkg directions)

What to do:

  • Saute hamburger in oil
  • Add onion and cook until transparent
  • Add cream of mushroom soup
  • Heat until boils
  • Add sliced mushrooms, cook for 1 minute
  • Add sour cream
  • Add cooked egg noodles (or whatever pasta you want)

And that's it! EATTTT! It's super yummy and so simple to make ^__^

Also, here is an EOTD I did recently, using ELF's brightening eye color in "Nymph Dreams." So far, I really like this eyeshadow palette. The shades are quite pigmented for $1 quality and last relatively long. I took this with my cell, so the colors didn't show up very well :( It's much more colorful in person (: Btw - Idk why my cheek is so red! I do have redness there but it's not THAT bad! :/

Here you can see what I mean by my "wannabe eyelids" :P Here's what I used:

E Y E S

  • Physician's Formula brow pencil (dark brown)
  • Sephora brow palette No. 2
  • Rimmel Exaggerate eyeliner (black) to tightline
  • ELF Mineral eyeshadow primer
  • ELF brightening eye color in "Nymph Dreams"
Gold shade: all over lid & highlight browbone
Brown shade: on lid and above crease
    Taupe shade: in outer-V
Turqouise shade: above outer crease (to contour) and inner corner
  • NYX felt tip liner pen (dark brown and jet black) to liner upper lashline
  • NYX double sided liner (only black side) to line crease
  • NYX jar concealer in "Beige"

F A C E

  • Skinfood Lime Secret Glow pact #3
  • EDM pressed powder below eyes

Well anyways, just thought I'd add that although FOTDs and recipes won my poll, I'll still be posting a little bit of everything :D I will try to focus on those two though... thanks everyone who voted!

No cam, handwriting analysis, FOTD

UGH! I have been sneezing and coughing for the past 7 or so hours... my eyes are watering and my nose is running AND I'm going between cold/hot with a headache. I'm hoping this is allergies and I'm not sick!!

Anyways, my camera is off to the mainland to get fixed since the flash doesn't work :P So I won't be able to take pictures or do reviews for... who knows how long lol xD BOO! :( I do have my cell phone cam tho it takes okay pics :P (see below). Cruised it at Honda today for a little while.

(click pics to biggify... you can see my freckles look closely xD)

And here's my quick FOTD to show you how the iQQU is going... It definitly makes my complexion and tone look a lot better and smoother but I'm still waiting for it to lighten my freckles~ You really only need a little little bit to cover your whole face... less than pea size. So far, I'm liking the results. I'm not wearing any foundation in this FOTD, besides for powder under my eyes!!

[Face]
  • iQQU Advance Sunscreen
[Eyes]
  • Lancome eyeshadow quad (thank you Krystal!)
    - "Bikini Golden" all over lid
    - "Honeymoon" highlight below brow
    - "Guest List" on lid
    - "Dill" in outer-V
  • NYX felt tip liner pen in Dark Brown
  • Rimmel Exaggerate black eyeliner
  • Physician's Formula eyebrow pencil in Dark Brown
  • ELF eyebrow Treat and Tame in Dark
  • Sephora eyebrow palette #2
  • NYX jar concealer in Beige
  • EDM pressed powder in Fairly light Golden under eyes
  • Geo Angel Brown circle lenses
[Lips]
  • EDM Natural lipgloss in Lemon Spice
  • EDM Natural lipgloss in Siesta
  • Avon Colortrend rollerball lipgloss in Watermelon
Also, here's something fun for you guys to do (: I did this awhile ago but I forgot what the results were so I decided to do it again :D It's really fun you should try it! (click the link at the bottom)! The results are pretty accurate too hehe.

Handwriting Analysis

The results of your analysis say:

You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry.
This one is spot on!
You are a social person who likes to talk and meet others.
I suppose I am (on blogger atleast :P)? Although I'm more of a private/reserved person in real life now.
You are affectionate, passionate, expressive, and future-oriented.
This one is also spot on (most of the time, unless I'm in a bad mood :P)

You are not very reserved, impatient, self-confident and fond of action.
This one is half-half. I am not very self-confident and fond of action however I am reserved and impatient.

You enjoy life in your own way and do not depend on the opinions of others.
This is true... I don't really depend on the opinions of others, but I do take them into account.

What does your handwriting say about YOU?

Oh and please do my POLL (: I'm interested to see what you lovelies are interested in!~ Thank you!!

Eki ♥ l o v e & ELF haul reviews!

The bows I ordered from lovely miss Eki came in today! YAY~ Thank you sooo much Eki!!! :D I love everything! I originally ordered 4 bows, but she sent me extras! She also sent me a lipbalm, candies, and white nailpolish, which I've really been wanting lately. How did you know?! hehe xD Thank you so much again! And if you haven't checked out her store already, go to: http://ekilovekawaii.blogspot.com/.

I also figure I'll review what I ordered from ELF! First up,

Complexion Perfection powder

Price: $3.00

What they say: Create a balanced and radiant complexion that is beautiful and healthy. The lightweight formula evens out the skin tone and absorbs excess oil. The sheer formula brightens, mattes and neutralizes the skin.

Ingredients: Mica, Talc, Magnesium Myristate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Nylon-12, Titanium Dioxide, Octyldodecanol, Dimethicone, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Silica, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Boron Nitride.

The good stuff:
  • Nice packaging, larger than I thought it would be
  • Brightens and evens out complexion
  • Neutralizes redness

The low-down:

  • Makes you looked washed out if you apply too much
  • The pressed powder is, well, really powdery
  • Gets messy

My take: So overall, I really like this product. I got it because it was one of the few 5 star rated products out of ELFs studio line and since my bad past experiences with ELF, I didn't want to be wasting my money on something that had bad reviews.

This is somewhat of a translucent powder that evens out and brightens skin tone while neutralizing redness. It definitly made me look more radiant and refreshed, however it does wash out your skin and leaves a white cast if you apply too much! One sweep over my face was enough for me. It didn't conceal my dark circles or freckles but I didn't expect it to. I'd use this more as a setting powder rather than just by itself. Anyways, I like everything about this product besides the fact that it is really powdery! It gets quite messy after you swirl your brush in it. Other than that, it's pretty great (:

Eyebrow Treat and Tame

Price: $3.00

What they say: Create manicured and styled brows that are beautiful and defined. Treat your eyebrows with a hair re-growth, vitamin infused gel formula to help stimulate hair follicules so your once thin and sparse brows become thicker. Tame eyebrows with a fiber enhanced eyebrow mascara formula for fuller and more natural looking brows. The special fiber infused mascara grips onto even your finest brow hair to create a beautiful healthy and enhanced look.

Tame Ingredients: Water (Aqua Purificata) Purified, Alcohol Denatured, PVP/VA Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, TEA Carbomer, Mica, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77491 CI 77492 CI 77499)

Treat Ingredients: Aqua(Water), Acrylates/C10-30alkylacrylatecrosspolmer, Polysorbate 80, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Retinyl Palmitate, Panthenol, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone

The good stuff:

  • Made my eyebrows look fuller, naturally
  • Easy to apply (I had trouble with the left side though :S)
  • Color matches my eyebrows
  • Long-wearing

The low-down:

  • Limited shade selection
  • Idk if the "treat" really works

My take: contrary to most people's feelings towards this product, I actually really like it! I've heard lots of people say that they got "medium" but it was way too light and weird colored. So I got it in "dark" and it was a perfect match! It is super easy to apply, just swipe it on and it left my brows looking pretty natural and fuller and filled in nicely. However, I guess it's my own error but I had a hard time applying it on my left brow for some reason xD I only set it with a little bit of Sephora's brow powder and it lasted all day.

I'm not sure if the tame works but I'll keep using it and post results (if I have any). Incase anyone doesn't know, I pretty much have to draw on the tail end of my brows (long story... will tell it later lol). So if the Treat works, it'll be a miracle :P

Studio Concealer brush

Price: $3.00

What they say: This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush! -Creates even and full coverage -Applies and blends concealer smoothly and evenly to eyes, face, and blemishes -Use with any cream products, including concealer, foundation, primer, eye cream, or cream shadow.

The good stuff:

  • Super soft bristles!
  • No shedding or fallout for me
  • No chemical smell for me
  • Sleek design
  • Effectively picks up and applies liquid / powder concealer

The low-down:

  • NONE!

My take: Amazing! An ELF product I have absolutely no problems with hehe. I LOVE this brush. The synthetic bristles are SUPER soft and luxurious. I had no problems with shedding or a chemical smell as lots of people mention about ELFs brushes. I love the sleek design a lot better than their regular brushes and it works GREAT for applying all types of concealer. I am huuugely impressed with this brush especially since the NYX concealer brush I tried was a total bust. I will definitly purchase again if I need to.

And here's a FOTD using ELFs Complexion Perfection powder, Eyebrow treat and tame, and applied concealer with their Studio concealer brush.
