Review: Cellnique Advanced Bio Renewal Masque

(This was another sample product that I received from Cellnique)

Price:
$51 for 50g (cellnique.com)

What they say: This unparalleled scrub mask is formulated with bio-captured fresh fruit enzymes and acids complex. It works effectively in exfoliating dead cells, optimizing cellular renewal performance and deep pore cleansing, thus revealing a softer, fresher and healthier skin.

Benefits
• Promotes cell renewal
• Slows down aging process
• Exfoliates dead skin cells
• Lightening, brightening and instant radiant effects

Color: Grayish white
Scent: Fresh fruity scent
Texture: Clay type
Feeling: Mild tingling sensation

What to do:

What's in it:

BioCELL eL: Advanced Bio Renewal Masque contains 20% BioCELL eL, Cellnique’s exclusive acid complex formulation that uses AHAs to accelerate cell renewal rates, enzymes and vitamins to neutralize and prevent possible irritation by the acids.

Alpha Hydroxyl Acid: AHAs are known to have the ability to rejuvenate skin by exfoliating dead cells from the skin, this further causes the skin to grow new cells to replace the damaged cells. AHAs also helps in wrinkles and photo-aging.

Enzyme:
• Papaya enzyme + Bromelain from pineapple fruit extract
• Bromelain, an enzyme derived from pineapple plant, Bromelain helps digest keratin protein and promote exfoliation effectively. Skin appears smooth and brightens after the dead skin cells being removed.
• Papain, an enzyme derived from papaya, helps exfoliate damaged and dead skin cells to prevent clogged pores that can result in skin eruptions. It is able to whiten and soften the skin, heal wounds and prevent the subsequent development of pimples.

Full ingredient list: Purified Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Kaolin, Glycolic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, C12-20 Acid PEG-8 Ester, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Papaya (Carica papaya) Enzyme (Papain), Phenoxyethanol, Trithanolamine, Caprylyl Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Citric Acid, Pomelo (Citrus grandis) Peel Extract, Pineapple (Ananas sativus) Fruit Extract, Acrylate / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Potassium Sorbate.

The good stuff:

  • Smells like pineapple!!!
  • Pretty easy to apply
  • Gritty-creamy texture
  • Has little exfoliating particles
  • Contains AHAs (did not irritate my skin!)
  • Dries quickly
  • Leaves skin smooth & soft
  • Improves skin tone/texture
  • Leaves skin looking radiant and healthy
The low-down:
  • Expensive!
  • The scent becomes kind of odd after awhile (for me)
  • The exfoliating particles may be a bit harsh
  • You need to use a lot to cover your entire face evenly

My take: Let me start off by saying... this masque smells like pineapple! I love pineapple, so that's a plus for me :D However, after awhile of leaving the masque on, it starts to smell... not so appealing anymore? :/ But it's not a big deal for me. The texture is thick, creamy, and gritty. Easy to slather on, but you have to keep using more and more to cover your entire face in an even layer. My little sample pot has 3g in it, and I used a little more than half the pot for one use, so say, around 2g? The full-size is a 50g tub.... you're basically paying $1 per gram; $2 per use (if you're using the same amount I did). So in 1 full-size tub, I'd estimate that there are ~25 uses. But if you are following the directions and using it 1x a week, it should last ~6 months (of course, don't quote me on this!)

The little exfoliating bits are gentle, but as with any exfoliating product, it might be harsh on sensitive skin, even more so because of the AHAs. I did not really feel any "mild tingling sensation" like the product description states, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, haha XD This masque did not irritate my skin though. The overall results? Radiant, clear, smooth, soft skin! I have been using Cellnique's Derma Brightening Complex religiously for the past 2 months, so that is mainly what I would contribute my current "nice skin" to. However, the masque did a great job of making it look nicer :D

Would I repurchase/recommend?
Unfortunately, the only thing really stopping me from buying the full-size product is the PRICE. $51 is a bit too steep for me. PLUS, I feel like I can get very similar and wonderful results using Queen Helene Mud Pack Masque, which only costs $3.99! Sooo... while I think this is an excellent masque that yields great results, I wouldn't repurchase anytime soon; it is definitely more of a "luxury" product! If the price doesn't deter you though, I would certainly recommend it. Maybe not so much for people with sensitive skin though... but you could always patch test/use a very thin layer of product instead of slathering it on like I did :P

How-to: Customize profile picture border

I'm sure most of you have figured this out by now, but just thought I'd share how you can change the way your profile image looks! It's really easy, and all it takes is a little work : ) The bolded sections in the code are the parts you can add, remove, and/or edit.

If your profile picture looks like this, and you dont like it...

Go to Layout, Edit html.
Scroll until you find this section of code:

/* Profile
----------------------------------------------- */
.profile-img {
float: $startSide;
margin-top: 0;
margin-$endSide: 5px;
margin-bottom: 5px;
margin-$startSide: 0;
padding: 4px;
border: 1px solid $borderColor;
}

NOW FOR STYLING!
  • Remove "padding: 4px;" if you DO NOT want a space between your profile picture and the border around the picture.
  • You can adjust the border width, style, and color.
  • You can change "margin-$endSide: 5px;" to adjust the amount of space between your profile picture and profile text.
  • You can also add attributes to adjust the size of your picture.

You can make it look like this........... or this

Using this modification of code:

/* Profile
----------------------------------------------- */
.profile-img {
float: $startSide;
margin-top: 0;
margin-$endSide: 10px;
margin-bottom: 0px;
margin-$startSide: 0;
border: 1px solid #D18E9E;
width:60px!important;
heigh:100px!important;

}

Or you can leave "padding: 4px;" & increase the value,
then add a background... It can look like this:

Using this modification of code:

/* Profile
----------------------------------------------- */
.profile-img {
float: $startSide;
margin-top: 0;
margin-$endSide: 10px;
margin-bottom: 0px;
margin-$startSide: 0;
border: 1px solid #D18E9E;
width:60px!important;
heigh:100px!important;

padding: 10px;
background-image:url("http://i40.tinypic.com/dy3ew4.jpg");
}

Or if you want a "polaroid picture" kind of look...
(of course it works better if your profile picture is SQUARE :P)

You can use this modification of code, tweak it to your needs.

/* Profile
----------------------------------------------- */
.profile-img {
float: $startSide;
margin-top: 0;
margin-$endSide: 5px;
margin-bottom: 5px;
margin-$startSide: 0;
padding: 4px;
padding-bottom:25px;
background-color:#ffffff;
border: 1px solid #000000;
height:80px;
width:80px;
}

Hope this helps! Have fun editing : )

Review: LUSH Honey Trap & Chocolate Whipstick Lip balm

Price:
Honey Trap (Lush UK): £4.75 for 10g
Chocolate Whipstick (Lush USA): $6.95 for 10g

What they say:
Honey Trap: For sweet, vanilla-honey kisses. If you mixed up honey and silk and turned it into a sound, you'd probably get the voice of Eartha Kitt singing Old Fashioned Millionaire. Eartha was the embodiment of sweet, soft, sexy and wicked. We like to think that our Honey Trap has the same qualities. Smooth on some wicked white chocolate, sweet honey, softening butters and delicious vanilla for temptingly tasty lips.

Chocolate Whipstick: A gorgeous chocolate lip balm whipped up to a perfectly smooth consistency. Pucker up and smooth on this oat infused, honey and Shea butter lip balm to moisturize and soften your lips. Let's not forget the chocolate and vanilla absolute that make your lips irresistibly tasty. This is a balm too delicious to keep to yourself – be sure to give everyone you love a nice kiss so they can taste it too, just remember to lock it up unless you want it stolen!

What's in it:
Honey Trap: VEGETARIAN, Oat Milk (Avena sativa), Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Beeswax (Cera alba), White Chocolate, Glycerine, Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olea europaea), Cetearyl Alcohol, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Flavour, Honey, Cold Pressed Organic Wheatgerm Oil (Triticum vulgare), Carnauba Wax, Sodium Borate (Borax), Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Sweet Wild Orange Oil (Citrus sinensis), *Limonene, Methylparaben}

Chocolate Whipstick: Oat Infusion (Avena Sativa), Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Beeswax (Cera alba), Chocolate, Glycerine, Olive Oil (Olea europaea), Cetearyl Alcohol, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Honey (Mel), Wheatgerm Oil (Triticum vulgare), Carnauba, Flavour, Sodium Borate, Tangerine Oil (Citrus Tangerina), Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Cocoa Absolute, *Limonene, *Linalool, Methylparaben.

The good stuff:
  • Smooth texture
  • Moisturizing & soothing
  • Decent lasting power
  • Natural ingredients
The low-down:
  • The smell. I don't like either smell.
  • Packaging isn't the greatest
  • Hardens
My take: I was so happy to be able to get these two lip balms! I got Honey Trap from Sheila and the Whipstick from Mai. I'll start off by saying that the 2 packaging is different because the Honey Trap is the UK version and the Whipstick is the US version (uhh but made in Canada apparently). The Honey trap is a screw-on lid and the Whipstick is a pull-off. To me, both are equally just as difficult to open. I feel like either the lid should be shorter or the container should be longer... you have to hold the bottom in order to take the top off... but the amount of space to hold onto is rather small, making it more difficult to easily take the lid off. Either that or I just suck at it, buut I still think the packaging could be improved. Also to note, the Whipstick is a bit bigger than the Honey trap, but both are supposed to contain 10g.

Ugh, the smell, the smell, the smell. I definitely don't care for either. Honey Trap smells like...Idk. I can't even describe it. I know I read "moldy honey" somewhere, and I guess that's pretty accurate. Whipstick smells just like Tootsie Roll IMO, and I don't like Tootsie roll :/ So needless to say, the smells drive me crazy when applying. They do fade after awhile though. The taste is not so great when you get it in your mouth... you know how hotel soap smells like? That's what these taste like. Don't ask me how I got that correlation... just imagine it :P

With that being said, the texture of these balms are pretty nice and smooth, easy to slather on. The Whipstick is more on the thick/creamy side while the Honey Trap is more thin/slick. I prefer the texture of the Honey Trap because Whipstick makes me feel a little like I'm rubbing Crisco on my lips. Still, both are decently moisturizing and soothing. I only use them at night though, because it kind of feels like the product just sits on your lips instead of fully absorbing in. Both harden when not in use, so you have to warm it up with your finger when you want to use it again. They last a decent amount of time, at least a few hours. Less with eating/drinking.

Would I repurchase/recommend?
No, I personally would not repurchase these products, mostly because of the smell and I have a ton of other lip balms that I prefer and I feel work just as well (and better) for the price. If you're into natural products though, I guess these are worth a shot. Definitely a no-go for people who don't like strong scents!

PS - Thanks everyone for getting me to 5,300 profile views & 384 followers! : )

This makes me sad :(

This is another one of those "being real" posts.
Sorry for the crappy picture, crappy makeup. This was like ~4 years ago...
And this is how my eyelashes used to look like:

Yes, those were my real eyelashes. :(

I touched upon this subject a few times but never really elaborated on it.

My dad always told me when I was younger, I had the longest eyelashes of any asian he'd ever seen. Believe it or not, I did have super long eyelashes. They were stick-straight.. nothing that couldn't be fixed with an eyelash curler though.

But ever since I was little, I've had this nasty habit of just yanking them out when I'm bored/stressed. Anyone else do this? Apparently this is called Trichotillomania. Now doesn't that sound scary. It sucks. They used to grow back quickly but not anymore. So I went through several phases of having lots of eyelashes, and then having almost none. Atm, I'm in the "almost none" phase. So that's why I use falsies in the majority of my EOTDs.

I've been interested in Latisse, but Idk.
It'll probably end up causing eye cancer or some shit.

Anybody tried this stuff?

Review: Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Redness Soothing Gentle Scrub

Price: Various prices, $7.67 from Walmart, $6.99 from Target

What they say: With naturally soothing aloe and chamomile, this gentle scrub powerfully clears away breakouts and blackheads without over-drying and visibly reduces redness caused by acne. Unique formula calms irritation while gentle microbeads smooth away roughness. Skin looks and feels clearer, smoother and healthier.

What's in it: Active Ingredients - Salicylic Acid - 2 % Acne Treatment, Inactive Ingredients - Water , Cetyl Alcohol , PPG-15 Stearyl Ether , Glycolic Acid , Polyethylene , Steareth-21 , Glycerin , Polysorbate 60 , C12-15 Alkyl Lactate , Cetyl Lactate , Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract (Matricaria) , Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate , Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract , Panthenol , Propylene Glycol , Potassium Cetyl Phosphate , Sodium Benzotriazoyl Butylphenyl Sulfonate , Xanthan Gum , Disodium EDTA , Sodium Hydroxide , Mannitol , Cellulose , Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose , Menthol , Benzalkonium Chloride , Yellow 5 , Blue 1 , Fragrance

The good stuff:
  • Smells really nice
  • Creamy texture w/ exfoliating beads
  • Leaves skin feeling clean & smooth
  • Contains acne medication

The low-down:

  • CONTAINS MENTHOL... this is the downfall for me
  • Increased my redness T__T
  • Made my skin feel sensitive

My take: I was sooo sad that this scrub didn't work for me! I was wanting to try it for the LONGEST time because of the slight ruddiness on my cheeks, and I was SO glad when Mai did her review, and gave me some to try! I did not think to look up the ingredients beforehand, so it was already too late for me because as I was in the middle of scrubbing my face with it, I felt the dreaded (for me at least) "cooling" sensation :(

Some of you may know that menthol is on my no-no ingredient list... my skin doesn't tolerate it too well (I have not had problems with AHAs or BHAs, so I know that's not the issue). So when I started feeling the coolness, instant "OH SHIT" mode kicked in. But it wasn't TOO bad. Nothing like my prior experience with Neutrogena's Deep Clean Invigorating Scrub, that left me with peeling, dry skin AND pimples.

So after the first use, I was a bit worried by the menthol and noticed a slight redness on my cheeks (I should note -- I felt like I was being gentle while scrubbing with it, but it still felt harsher than say, Neutrogena's Deep Clean Gentle Scrub) but I decided to give it a few more tries (the next morning & night). I figured that it's supposed to SOOTHE redness, so maybe it'll get better with more use, right? Wrong. My skin became much more noticably red, as well as sensitive on my cheeks... the area where I want to get rid of redness -_-; I should also mention, I don't consider my skin to be sensitive; it can handle scrubs and medicated products.... just not menthol, apparently. Maybe it would get better with continued use, but I don't want to chance it. My conclusion: products containing any amount of menthol are just not for me.

With that being said, this scrub is A LOT gentler than Neutrogena's Deep Clean Invigorating Scrub, and the cooling sensation much milder. The exfoliating beads (tiny clear ones and larger green ones) are suspended in a base of creamy goodness... I quite like the texture. And the smell -- very soothing.

Would I repurchase/recommend?
Sadly, I would not repurchase because of the menthol :( I wouldn't recommend this to those with very sensitive skin, or others who are sensitive to menthol. But for those with more resilient skin and who like the refreshing sensation and a good exfoliating scrub, I would say go for it!

Herrohachi, Julu Jewelry, & Mail love ♥

I got my Herrohachi order in from Kym a few weeks ago... sadly, at the same time my camera broke! :( So this was one of the first test shots with my new camera :D If you have not yet discovered the greatness that is Herrohachi, KNOCK YOURSELF OUT!

Aren't these pins the cutest?! Cupcake is so adorable in color, it looks uber yummy hehe (: All these will be decorating my school bag!

I loooove you Kym (; ♥

I got my Julu Jewelry order in yesterday!I had contacted Steph because I was interested in some custom pieces! She is so sweet and is such a super talented jewelry maker... of course she was able to make me exactly what I had in mind!!! She also gave me cute lavendar crystal studs as a GWP, and a little pink polishing cloth. And candy, but I ate it already (: I was so excited opening the boxes.. hehe...

Squeeeee!The pieces I had in mind, EXACTLY as I had envisioned them! :D

"Your Heart is my Hostage" necklace
I was really inspired by Steph's recent gun themed pieces. I wanted something a bit girly but still edgy... this is what I came up with, and she brought it to life! Can't wait to pair this with all my pink tops.. hehe

"Every Queen Needs Her Crown" necklace
I named this one, in regards to this post :P This necklace came out BEAUTIFULLY! It's super hime and girly and shiny... I love love love it! Wore it today ♥ Thank you so much Steph, I'm so glad you were able to custom these necklaces for me! :D If you want your own gorgeous handmade jewelry, check out Julu Jewelry!

I did take some pictures of myself wearing the necklaces... but I'm looking particularly BLEGHHHASDFJKL this week so I'll take better pics soon :P

I also got a package from Mai today!

She had emailed me when she went to Oahu and asked if I wanted anything from LUSH! And you all know the LUSH fiend I am becoming :P So I asked if she could pick me up some Whip Stick Lip balm! I got Honey Trap from the lovely miss Sheila, but unfortunately, while I was enticed by the decadent product descriptions on the website, I was not too enthralled with the scent/taste IRL :( Uh, I think I just have no luck with these lip balms because Whip Stick smells like... tootsie roll to me :/ So while I am not crazy about the scents, I do quite enjoy the formulation of these lip balms! I'll be doing reviews on those two soon.

She was also so generous to also include some Neutrogena Redness Soothing Scrub, since I'd mentioned a few times that I really wanted to try it! She was also soo nice to give me one of her .maitai jewelry cellphone charms that I'd been lemming! (Most of you know I LOVE lime green... as well as pink :P) Yay! I'm trying to decide what I want to hang it on... lol (: Thank you so much Mai! ♥

NOTD + Review: NYX South Sea glitter gradient nails w/ NYX Glitter on the Go "Las Vegas"

+

=

Hello loves & new followers!
Btw, when the eff did I get 372 followers?! I also made it to 5,000 profile views.
Thank you all so much! (:

A few days ago I decided to do my nails with NYX Nail polish in "South Sea." It is a gorgeous bright metallic blue shade ♥ It's very sheer, so I did 3 coats. Then I decided I might as well try out my NYX Glitter on the Go from my last NYX haul!

Price: $4.00 for 2g from NYX (I got it during the $1 sale)

What they say: Loose glitter packaged in a cute case with a knockout punch! Perfect to apply to hair, face and body, NYX offers 24 sparkling shades of Glitter on the Go. Safe to use and non-irritating.

The good stuff:
  • I guess it's inexpensive... I still wouldn't pay $4 for it though.
  • 24 shades to choose from
  • Very fine, shimmery, and sparkly glitter
The low-down:
  • No staying power on its own
  • Needs multiple layers to build it up

My take: "Las Vegas" looks black but it has so many beautiful multi-colored glitters in it! Lots of blues, greens, and teals. I read here that it is NOT eye safe, but I decided I would give it a try anyway. I have used this glitter 3 times when doing my eyemakeup and have had not any adverse effects with it. While I agree that it does not have much staying power on its own, it did not fall into my eyes and it did not itch or scratch. Buut I'm sure it'll be different for everyone... so use at your own discretion!

Would I repurchase/recommend?
No, I don't think I will be repurchasing anytime soon, as I don't use glitter very often. While all the other shades are alluring and although it's only $4, it's just glitter... I wouldn't pay that much for it because I don't use it very often. As for recommend, I'd say it's worth a shot if you like adding sparkle to your look!

Glitter Gradient Nails

Okay, I'm sure theres 5416716358 ways to do this, but this is how I did mine, it was super easy and I liked the way it turned out (:

Step 1 - Three coats of NYX "South Sea"

Step 2 - After the third coat, when it is still wet, add a light coat of glitter. I used an eyeshadow brush to do this (gasp?!). What I did was load a little glitter onto the brush, and then held the brush head over my nail and tap-tapped it to shake some of the glitter off, onto my entire nail. Just a light dusting. Do this quickly, you want the polish to still be tacky while you do step 3 and 4.

Step 3 - Heavy coat of glitter. If you're afraid to fudge up your eyeshadow brush doing this, then maybe you should use a crappy one... or a paintbrush. But I still used an eyeshadow brush. I loaded a lot of glitter onto the tip of the brush head. Then I lightly pressed it to just the tips of my nails (think French Tip). Since I loaded a lot of glitter, only the glitter gets deposited onto my nails, and thus the brush bristles don't touch the nail polish. I repeated this several times to get an even layer of glitter on the tips of my nails.

Step 4 - Repeat step 2, but concentrate the glitter closer to the bottom of the glitter tips you just made, around the middle of your nail. So there should be the most glitter at the tips of your nails, and then it should fade out to less glitter towards the bottom of your nails.

Step 5 - Wait for it to dry, then add a topcoat! I use Nailene Acrylic Strong topcoat.

The end result:

A super easy way to spice up your nails (:
Reminds me a bit of OPI's Absolutely Alice!
(If I added more glitter)

Review + Comparison: Cellnique Skin Purifying Daytime Protection 20

I've been using the products Cellnique sent me for nearly a month now (reviews coming soon!), and I've been using this particular one (sample) for the past few days... and I have to say, I'm in love!

Price: $34 for 30g

What they say: Benefits: A specially designed, non-oily three-in-one formulation providing daytime protection for oily and acne-prone skin. Works as a sun block (UVA and UVB, SPF 20), an acne cream and a natural foundation to blend acne scars for even appearance. Treating Skin Problems: • Blemishes • Acne • Scars / Marks • Congestion • Breakout. Suitable Skin type: Oily

What to do: Apply evenly on the face and neck with upwards and outwards stroking movements (straight lines). Use as a concealed for blemishes or inflamed acne area.

What's in it: Benzoyl Peroxide - An effective anti-bacterial agent for treating blemishes. Benzoyl peroxide penetrates into the follicles in the skin to kill bacteria that cause skin acne problems, with low risk of irritation.

Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) - Salicylic acid is the only beta hydroxy acid (BHA). Salicylic acid has been prescribed as an exfoliant and functions as an anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial for treating breakouts. In addition, salicylic acid has the ability to penetrate into the follicles and skin surface, which helps exfoliate the skin’s surface as well as inside the pore lining where clogged pores (blemishes, blackheads or whiteheads) occur.

Burdock Extract - Burdock is used for its antiseptic properties to regulate oiliness of the skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties help to control and effectively prevent breakouts.

Full Ingredient List: Purified Water (Aqua purificata), Butylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Ethylhexyl P-Methoxycinnamate, Cyclomethicone, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Lactic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Cetyl Sulphate, Ceteareth-10, Ceteareth-20, Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxides, Witch Hazel Extract (Hamamelis virginiana), Great Burdock (Arctium lappa) Extract, Iron Oxides, Methylparaben, Dimethicone, Tropical Fragrance.

The good stuff:

  • A little goes a LONG way
  • Texture is similar to BB cream... slightly thick but blendable
  • Versatile, buildable coverage
  • Blends seamlessly with skin
  • Makes my skin look amazingly smooth and radiant
  • Nice, natural, dewy finish
  • Lasts all day
  • Conceals redness & blemishes very well
  • UVA & UVB protection, SPF 20
  • Did not break me out
  • Holds back shine decently

The low-down:

  • Expensive
  • Dries kind of quickly...
  • However, takes awhile to fully absorb

My take: I have found LOVE in this multi-purpose sunblock... ♥ What I really have to RAVE about is how WONDERFUL it makes my skin look.... but I should start from the beginning. First off, I apply it by swiping some on my finger, and then dabbing it on my cheeks, forehead, nose, chin, and below my eyes. Very little goes a long way. Then I use a makeup sponge wedge to blend it in like the directions suggest; with "upward and outward stroking movements." The texture of this sunblock is very similar to BB cream, on the thick side (thicker than Etude House BB Magic cream but thinner than Skinfood Ginko Green BB cream) but still nice and smooth and blendable. However, the thing with this sunblock is that it dries rather quickly... there is still enough time to blend it in, but it dries a lot faster than say, my Skinfood BB cream. Despite this, it does take awhile for the product to completely absorb into my skin (~1 hour +) so it feels slightly tacky for a bit (I don't like this feeling). But once it is absorbed, my skin feels super smooth.

COMPARISON:

Skinfood has pink undertones while Cellnique is more yellow.
While I do like the finish the Skinfood gives my skin, it makes my skin look a bit dull lately because it isn't the best match for my skintone. The Cellnique looks rather light, but blends seamlessly with my skintone. (Please excuse the bad lighting!)

While the Skinfood is thicker than the Cellnique, it allows for more "playtime" before absorbing into my skin. Although the Cellnique is thinner, and easier to smooth on, you can see that it is already drying here. It needs to be blended in more quickly than the Skinfood.

Blended. Not the nicest, but you get the idea. Cellnique melds into my skin a lot better than the Skinfood, which looks a bit ashy on me. I will say that both give a really nice finish to my skin, but I prefer the Cellnique, hands down.

The coverage is quite versatile... you can use less for sheer coverage, but it is buildable to quite heavy coverage, but still leaves skin looking flawless. I cannot speak for improving my acne because thanks to their Skin Action Sebum Gel, my breakouts have disappeared! (Review coming soon). However, it does do very well at hiding my redness and small blemishes! One thing to note though, although it says that it is specifically for oily skin, I find that it only controls my shine decently... no better than ELF High Definition Powder or EDM pressed powder or BB Cream. It holds it back but I can still see/feel the same amount of shine throughout the day as I do when I use any other foundation/powder. No biggie though, it's a small price to pay for the way it makes my skin look (:

These pictures were taken with my cellphone cam.

These pictures were taken with my Cybershot, with flash.

EYES: ELF Brightening Eyeshadow quad (Nymph Dreams)
FACE: ELF Blush & Bronzer Duo
LIPS: NYX Round lip gloss (Whipped)
Lashes courtesy of TAAZ.com (:

Like I mentioned above, it blends in beautifully with my skin. Once absorbed, it gives off a dewy glow. My skin looks super smooth and my complexion is even-toned and radiant. LOVE! The pictures don't do it enough justice... the finish is SO much nicer IRL. And it lasts all day on me! Even after giving Happy a bath and getting water all over my face! XP This has not broken me out and seems to be aiding in the improvement of my skintone and complexion overall.

Would I repurchase/recommend?
I personally am seriously considering purchasing the full size. It has really impressed me that much! As for recommend, if the price tag doesn't deter you, I'd say it's definitely worth a shot! I think if you like BB creams, you might also like this product.
