Questions about Blogger Comments / IntenseDebate Comments

Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone could give me a little insight into what's going on with blogger and/or IntenseDebate comments.  I haven't been actively "alive" in the beauty blogging world so every time I come here to post something, I feel like stuff has changed! I hate the new blogger dashboard :(

But anywho, I notice that sometimes, the link beneath my posts to leave a comment/view the comments isn't there, or isn't working properly. I use IntenseDebate for my comments, but sometimes the link below the posts takes you to Blogger's regular commenting system, and the IntenseDebate comments are not there at all. Sometimes the IntenseDebate comments have been working and showing up, and then they'll all disappear and be replaced with Blogger's comment form. 

Since I don't log on all that often, I don't catch comments if they were posted using Blogger's commenting system (which is not supposed to be visible at all anyway, because I have IntenseDebate?!) because it gets filtered before publishing, and I don't log in to check that too often. Whereas IntenseDebate emails me when I get a comment so I know I got it. But apparently only when IntenseDebate is working properly -_- What's going on?!?!

...So I'm really sorry if I've been missing out on responding to anyone's comments, as I'm not sure if they might be getting lost somewhere in the blogosphere :(

If anyone could offer any advice or insight it would be much appreciated :)

FOTD behind the scenes, just for fun :P

Here's a pic of me pre-red lipstick (from the Marilyn Monroe-inspired FOTD I just posted).

  It's interesting how a simple change in lip color can change up your whole look!

 

This is the same makeup, but with plain 'ol nude/concealer lips.

I think it makes me look kinda Jersey Shore-ish and very tan XD

FOTD: Curls & Marilyn Monroe Inspired Makeup

Hey everyone! I haven't posted a FOTD in awhile so just though I'd share this one :) I was bored last night and decided to play around with my hair and makeup. 

First I think I should note that I am completely inept when it comes to anything hair-related. The only thing I can safely do is thin my hair out with a razor and flat iron it :( I cannot, for the life of me; curl, braid, up-do, hair bow, etc. I try to watch tutorials but never can get it right -_- Anywho last night I decided to give curling my hair another shot. I watched Kandee Johnson's tutorial for curling hair with a flat iron. I don't have a curling iron (yet) so I wanted to try this method out! Her video was easy to follow even for a hair novice like me :)

After much trial and error, I got this far! Which I think was pretty good considering I've only tried to curl my hair maybe 2 other times in my life, which were completely failures XD

I did it in small sections, and after I had done majority of my hair, I bunched some of the small sections into bigger sections and re-curled them all at the same time.

Then lots of hair spray!

 

I also played around with a Marilyn Monroe-inspired look just for the fun of it :) -- Red lips & a classic cat-eye, and I added her beauty spot too ;P I don't wear red lipstick ever (I actually borrowed my mom's for this!) But I think sometimes it can be fun!

- Stila Eye for Color Eyeshadow palette - Burgundy in outer-v
- Stila Eye for Color Eyeshadow palette - Porcelain to highlight below brow
- NYX false lashes

Lips:
- Lancome Color Design Lipstick in Sugared Maple
- Colortrend Lip juice in Cherry Truffle

Some highlights about the makeup I've been loving lately:

• I really like the Revlon whipped foundation because it covers imperfections and photographs really well, but it is also heavy and can be cakey. I also don't use it very often because when I did, I feel it was the cause of some breakouts because it is so heavy and doesn't let my skin breathe. Other than that though, it is a great foundation for photos and does last allll day :)
• The Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadow in Trashed is my favvvv black eyeshadow right now! It is black with silver sparkles :) It is nicely pigmented and you can easily build the intensity for a very dark black, or use just a little for subtle touch of darkness. Plus it's only like $2!!!
• If you have a choice between Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Zero and Perversion, GET PERVERSION! If you like the blackest black eyeliner, go with Perversion. It is wayyy deeper & darker than my old fav, Zero. I also feel like the formulation is better & lasts much longer without smudging. Love it! Also (not used in this FOTD) I'm in love with Smashbox's Limitless eyeliner in Onyx. Also very black and long-lasting. Goodstuff!
• Dermablend concealer is pretty much my new best friend. I thought I'd never find a product to cover up my horrid dark circles, but THIS IS THE PRODUCT!!! It is very pricy for a tiny tube ($22 for 0.3 oz) but it does the job perfectly. Completely covers up dark circles, pimples, and redness, AND wears all day!
