Hair tinsel???When I was getting my hair cut on friday, there was a middle-aged (think mid-life crisis middle-aged) woman getting several strands of hair tinsel in red and gold tied into her already natural (I think) red hair. From what I saw, she only got a few. I'm sitting there thinking, what is the heck is the point of that?
You could barely see it show up in, and when you did see a strand or two, it looked like she had bits of sparkly trash stuck in her hair. I've seen lots of advertisements for this stuff and it's pretty expensive to buy and get done too, even if you're doing it just for, say, a one day special occasion. I just don't see the point in it. Who wants to look like a christmas tree?
What are your thoughts on hair tinsel?
LOL I agree with you, it looks a little silly and too much like Christmas.

ReplyDeleteTo Marie: It's braided into the roots of a few strands of hair, then is left to flow as it's own thang.
But this hair tinsel thing is ALL the damn rage down here in Hawaii! IDK?! But even ADULTS, & I hate to admit it, but my own grown up friends and relative get it done! I don't see what the point is... I get the appeal for the little kids & PreTeens, but I seriously had to question my cousins multi sparkling hair at the last family event. O_o
hahaha it does look like trash lol... like you fell into a pile of christmas trees came out from it and called it "glamour"... This trend is a shame lol... i over-exaggerate...

ReplyDeleteI like it! I think its sweet! Whats wrong with a little childish once and a while? Have you all forgotten what its like to want to feel like a princess? I would get it. Thats just me though, I have hot pink and black hair, its not for everyone but i LOVE it!
